Early Bird registrations for AGTA Conference 2024 are now open!



Join us from 13 October to 16 October in Cairns, Queensland.



All persons attending the conference must complete an online registration form. Please read the below information, terms and conditions before you complete the online registration form. Members of ABACBS (The Australian Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Society Inc.) attending AGTA-2024 are entitled to a 10% discount on their chosen registration category. Please contact the Conference Managers register.agta@arinexgroup.com for the discount code prior to registering.



Early Bird Registrations
To be entitled to the early registration fee you must have registered and paid by 16 July 2024 or in the case of an extension of the Early Bird period, by the new Early Bird end date.



Member Registrations
Membership of AGTA status will be checked against AGTA’s membership database. If a registrant has previously been a member of AGTA but has been unable to renew membership due to technical issues with AGTA’s membership database, AGTA will contact you and assist with membership renewal (email: membership@agtagenomics.org.au) If Membership has been claimed by the registrant but has not been found in AGTA’s database you will be asked to provide proof of past membership (e.g) payment receipt, AGTA reserves the right to invoice any registrant the difference between the member and non-member rate at its discretion.



Student Registrations
Includes Honours/Masters students, PhD students, Clinicians undertaking a research-based PhD (not working full-time at a hospital).



Entitlements
Full Registration: (Academics, ECRs, members, non-members and industry)

  • Access to the Opening oration, all Scientific meeting sessions of the program including program workshops and to all poster presentations and the Annual General Meeting of AGTA.
  • Access to the trade exhibition stands
  • Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th October and morning tea and lunch on Wednesday 16th October, 2024
  • One ticket to the Welcome Reception on Sunday 13th October, 2024 (refreshments and food stations).
  • You may elect to be considered for the AGTA best ECR oral or poster presentation prize (if appropriate).


Student Registration:
  • Access to the Opening oration, all Scientific meeting sessions of the program including program workshops and to all poster presentations and the Annual General Meeting of AGTA.
  • Access to the trade exhibition stands

Registration confirmation
Your completed registration and successful payment will be automatically acknowledged via email with confirmation attaching a tax invoice and receipt. If your email does not come through to your inbox, please check your junk mail settings. Your registration will only be confirmed upon full payment of fees.

Name badge
Each delegate will receive a name badge and lanyard when they check in at the registration desk. The badge will be your official pass to obtain entry to all sessions and social functions. You are responsible for having your badge clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions, any workshops, the Opening Oration, Welcome Reception and to other social functions. The Conference Managers expect appropriate behaviour from delegates and reserve the right to revoke the name badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Certificate of attendance
A certificate of attendance will be issued via email after the completion of the conference to delegates who attended.

Payment Options
Credit/Debit Card The preferred payment method is credit/debit card. Accepted credit/debit cards are Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Please note all transactions will appear on your statement as ‘Conference by Arinex, Sydney’.

Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Managers by emailing agta2024@arinexgroup.com.

Cancellation of Registration Fees
On or before 12 July 2024: 100% refund less an administration fee of $110 including GST
On or before 12 August 2024: 75% refund less an administration fee of $110 including GST
On or before 12 September 2024: 50% refund less an administration fee of $110 including GST
After 12 September 2024: No refund available

  • Refunds will be returned by the same payment method as the original receipt of funds.
  • No refund will be made after 12 September 2024, however an alternative delegate name may be provided by email and the booking and funds will be allocated accordingly.
  • Please note no refund or discount will be made if a function or event inclusive within the registration fee is not taken up, or if you subsequently cancel your participation in that function or event.
